After being postponed a few days from being sick (see previous post),
Katelyn and Megan were SUPER excited to have their annual Valentine's craft party!
(Here's last year's post and pictures.)

They were very involved in the planning and Pinterest may be a site they now frequent!
They each invited three little girls from school and we started off with the girl's choice for red, after school snacks. We had apples, heart-shaped jello with whipping cream, and cherry 7-up.
Then we began with a Valentines minute to win it game outside.
It involved some math, but also M & M's.
Then they were onto locking hands and playing with their pink hula-hoop.
These are the smiles that make these things well worth it!!
The most anticipated project was the gumball machine.
My girls were SO excited and the other girls were anxious to get painting!
AND anxious to choose a candy (or several of each kind) to fill it with!
Here's how they turned out, so cute!
In the meantime I had two amazing helpers and donut makers, Aubrey and her cute friend, Maddie.
After making cards and some paper crafts, the girls decorated warm donuts with frosting and sprinkles. Can you tell they were so enjoying every minute?
I figure with my baby being a boy there aren't too many craft parties left around here.
I sure enjoyed every minute of this one, especially because my girls loved it and it was followed with the biggest thank-you hugs!!

Wow! I am pretty sure you win the "Best Mom Ever" award! How in the world do you do it all?! You need to come teach me. :-)
ReplyDeleteMust have been a really fun day! The gumball machines turned out cute and the cupcakes so yummy. I'm not sure they could have fit anything eles on those cupcakes! Love your idea of a Valentine craft party. What a great mom! Love to all!
