Together is a great place to be: Tyler turns 42!

After being in Boston all week for work, Tyler was missed and got an especially big welcome home since it was his birthday! NO ONE celebrates and decorates for birthdays like Katelyn and Megan! They love to party and are sure to make everyone feel loved! There was our standard banner and birthday plate, but this year the girls made an additional banner with "Happy Birthday" AND "Welcome Home" for the garage and entry, posters on his bed with "More Than 42 Reasons Why We Love You" and new this year...a decorated chair.

Tyler requested lasagna and his favorite, from scratch German Chocolate Cake for his birthday. We enjoyed our dinner together and sharing about our week as well as hearing about his time in Boston, including a hilarious flight home sitting next to a panting dog the entire time!

Afterwards, we sang "Happy Birthday" and he opened his gifts.

All of Tyler's negative balance of "no-kisses" washed clean and starting over with 2,000 free kisses as well as unlimited kisses for 24 hours! Nothing could be better for these two!!

Tyler loved the book Katelyn made him.

It was entitled, "Because I have a Father I will always have a Hero". Wow, so sweet!

Megan showed her love by making perler beads (of course), getting one of his favorite candies, and a poster with all the adjectives describing him. So great!!

Andrew washed out the inside of Tyler's car AND gave two additional "no-complaining" jobs of Tyler's choice.

Since he wasn't here his birthday morning Katelyn and Megan got up early the next to make his homemade chocolate donuts. They are so great at serving and cooking!
