January happenings

Here's some of January's random happenings and pictures.
Andrew had a LONG, all day tournament full of mostly sitting around and waiting. When he did get his three minutes on the mat, he made the most of it!  It was the first match I've watched and a little intense for me.

My favorite picture of the day.  I love seeing Tyler love and support our kids.
We worked on getting the girls cute room decorated with all of their new Christmas gifts.
Tyler's "favorite" thing to do is hang and re-hang things in collages while four girls change their minds...haha!!! We love how this wall turned out!!
It was National Kiss a Redhead Day and so of course...
Tyler HAD to kiss one of his favorite redheads:)
And from my cell phone...
Andrew and his friend, Matt jumped in the pool to welcome the new year and start an annual Polar Bear Swim tradition.  Thank goodness they got warmed up quickly by the fire:)  Crazy boys!!!
Andrew and Matthew went sledding with friends, the Altons, one Saturday and had a blast!
I was called to teach a Sunday School class with 16-17 year olds.  I am loving it so far.
Almost every Sunday after church we have stopped by our cute friend, Lois's house for lemons.  We've made lemon cookies and our favorite lemon pasta several times.
I got my hair done by Sarah, who has been doing my hair for over ten years.
She always does a great job!!
Aubrey's musical practices have kept her on her toes all month.  She practices until 5:30 every night.
This "caboose" is a good sport spending lots of time in the car as we drive kids every direction.
After a Facebook friend offered free tickets, Tyler and Matthew took friends, Nathan and Cole Alton, to see Monster Jam in Sacramento!  They loved it!  Matthew must have told me ten times "it was the best day of his life!"
These girls spent Saturday with their friend, Rylie who used to go to their school, making cookies and these cute matching necklaces.  They were so excited when she decided to come to church with them the next day.

Also we had a fun, impromptu date to the Parlor ice cream shop with our friends Caidance, Layla and Mara Alton.  It was $2 Tuesday and did not disappoint.  They put a scoop of ice cream in a donut and warm it...so fun and yummy!!
My friend, Carolyn came into town and it was a joy to see her three times.  She came over and visited with our family, we went to lunch with a group of friends and we celebrated her step-daughter's upcoming wedding at a shower Saturday.  Sure love her and my friend, Danee too.

Andrew needs more camping nights for scouts so he went with his best friend, Jake Jamison's troop to Dillon's beach.  They had some rain, but a great time at the sand dunes.
Aubrey got her patriarchal blessing which was one of the most wonderful, spiritual days of my life.  Words cannot describe the outpouring of the Lord's love and spirit.
And so I'll just leave it at that for this place.  The feelings of my heart are in detail in my journal.
