We spent a perfect few days away at Lake Tahoe.
My sister had never been there and my parents maybe only once or twice.
The weather was glorious, a little windy, but so much cooler than down in the valley!
We spent the first morning at this beach close to the time share. The water guns were out and I am not sure who had more fun, my dad or the kids!?!?
Like I said, it was windy, but the kids didn't mind!
During the afternoon Tyler had a call to take for work and so the rest of us hiked down
into Emerald Bay and to Lower Eagle Falls. Always a family favorite!!
And always a beautiful day!
We stopped for pizza on the way home, a quick swim, and enjoyed a movie back at the time share.
The next day we started off with Tyler taking the youngest kids to the pool and the rest of us going to check out another close beach. It was a beautiful, short walk through the trees with the smell of the mountains and trees that made me never want to leave!
I am not sure when this cute girl grew up, but she now is as tall as my eyes and gets to spend more and more time "with the big kids" (aka adults). We love having her around!
We spent the rest of the day at a (new-found to us) hidden gem called Lake Angora. A friend of mine had told me about it a few years ago and until now we've stayed at South Shore or had other plans while in North Shore. We were really excited to explore and find Angora Lakes. Just off of Fallen Leaf Lake Road a few miles and then about a half of a mile hike you find this beauty!!
Complete with a lemonade stand, and rentals including paddle boards, kayaks, and paddle boats we settled in for a day of fun! We played for hours on the paddle boards and I'm pretty sure it's on my wish list from Santa.
Even Matthew, at three, in water wings and a life jacket (because he insisted!!) enjoyed the Yolo Yak!
Our entire family could fit on the paddle boat.
We went for a nice ride (thanks Tyler) over to see the waterfalls on the other side of the lake.
The kids loved it!
My parents had a great time on the kayak. Hmmm, I think that may be on their Christmas list!

woah, gorgeous pictures! makes me want to go to tahoe. i'm thinking of going to the state fair in sacramento in a few weeks. maybe i can stop by and say hi! :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and beautiful trip. So great to be with the family. We appreciated the Price's time-share. Had tons of fun. Cute, cute grandkids!!!! Great travelers,water-sports and hiking buddies.( So glad the 3 year old, Matthew, needed to rest a few times up the mile long trail home.):}
