ALL the kids (and Grandma) were ready in their pajamas, bright and early!!!
Yes, indeed Santa (or a few Santa's) came! Look at all that stuff!
Right as we were just getting ready to begin opening gifts, my brother, Nathan and his wife, Alyssa called and suggested my parents open their gift from them. We were ALL so excited when there was an ultrasound picture inside with the news that they are expecting a baby in August. Besides tears from my parents, there were lots of cheering. We are so excited for them!
We got right to business opening gifts, letting Matthew who had been patiently waiting start off.
Aubrey loved her new ipod and gave her dad an especially BIG hug because he had loaded all her favorite music on it in California...ya, he rocks!
As always there were some gifts that we were so excited to give.
We knew Brian would LOVE this hiking book in his new home state of Utah.
We gave my Dad a framed picture of the Nauvoo Temple, where he
served as a missionary over 40 years ago. He loved it!
Then there was my brother's awesome gift for my grandpa, a big fan of the Whopper...
Burger King gift cards complete with crown!
Tyler got the North Face coat he had been eyeing, to replace the one he bought in Idaho 16 years ago when he came to "meet the family"...ya, it was time! He's going to be so warm this week!

There was lots of love and many, many hugs for the fun, thoughtful gifts!
Grandma found these darling guinea pig Webkins, after our Nibbles experience, here.
Tyler TOTALLY surprised me with a gift I was not expecting, the North Face jacket I had been eyeing!! I love a great surprise and he really got me, my jaw hit the floor on this one!
Really, I was SO proud of my kids. They were so grateful for each and every gift they got.
They genuinely were appreciative to everyone and that makes me so happy!!
Matthew especially squealed with delight at every gift he opened!
The gifts the kid's exchanged with each other are always highly anticipated!
Matthew picked out this frisbee on one of his outings to the scout store with me.
My Dad got hooked up with a new head lamp, that's classic Dad look! Love him...
We paused for breakfast (a delicious and hearty breakfast casserole and traditional,
yummy sticky buns) and then opened our stockings.
And our traditional family Christmas morning photo, got to have this one:
After everything was open we got ready for church.
I think Sunday is a perfect and most appropriate day for Christmas. I loved going and singing Christmas carols, hearing wonderful talks about our Savior's birth and life, and worshiping Him.
After church we took a group photo.
This is all of us except my brother Nathan, his wife Alyssa, and daughter,
Bentley who are in Michigan finishing his ER residency.
The rest of the day was spent with a delicious Christmas dinner, naps, games, yummy dessert, visiting extended family with more food, playing with new toys and Skyping with family.
It was a wonderful day!
