After just getting back into town the night before, our Easter was wonderfully simple and low-key. We did our normal Easter morning traditions before early morning church, including our egg hunt. The weather was threatening rain so the Easter Bunny hid our eggs inside this year. Here are the kids, after we "paused to pray" (as they learned so appropriately in Primary at Christmas time) to remember the true meaning of Easter, ready to run towards the goodies!
Checking out the baskets. Tradition has it that at our house, the
Easter Bunny usually brings summer pajamas, a book or movie, and something chocolate!
Megan found the coveted "golden egg" this year filled with $1.00.
The boys tried on their matching pajamas and were so excited.
Notice Matthew's blue Gatorade mustache.
Grandma Bonnie made the three girls darling, matching Easter outfits.
Katelyn and Megan got dresses and Aubrey wanted a skirt. Bonnie made the cutest matching outfits for their American Girl dolls, Jessa, Nelly, and Chrissa. So fun!
They looked so cute and got lots of compliments at church.
Even our egg decorating was simple, but really the kids were thrilled with a new way to paint eggs...with glue and glitter.
We finished with a special family night reviewing the Savior's last week, celebrating His life, death, and resurrection. How grateful we are.
