Daddy Daughter Dance

Hi everybody, this is Aubrey.
I get to go on lots of fun dates with my Dad and I actually thought last month's was my favorite, we rode our bikes to the park and just played games for an hour together. But last night our Stake (Mormon girls that live in my town) had an Activity Day (girls that are 8-11 years old) Daddy Daughter Dance.  It was so much fun. We got to dress up and I even picked out my Dad`s tie. I picked out yellow to match my skirt.  We looked really fancy.  After we got there and a lady from my ward took our picture, there was a tie~tying contest, but I was way too slow.  Then we learned how to ''Waltz''.  My dad stepped on my toes a few times and was a little clumsy at first, but we took to it pretty fast.  That part was super fun.  Next, we heard a nice talk from a lady in another ward.  She talked about being a Daughter of God.  I learned that Heavenly Father needs more gentle women, not more tough ones.  He needs more kind girls, not bullies.  He needs more feminine girls, not more tom-boys.  After wards we had cookies and punch as refreshments.  It was a blast!!

  2. How lucky are you? Getting a special "date" night with your dad. I remember those Daddy-Daughter dates as being some of the best times of my life. You are so lucky to have such loving parents who have taught you to be a wonderful example of a daughter of God. We are so blessed to have you in our family. I thank Heavenly Father everyday for your sweet spirit. I love you dearly. Grandma
