UP PARTY!

This summer my kids saw the movie Up in the theater with their fancy 3-D glasses.  They loved it!  Well, all except the dogs, my twins were afraid of those scary dogs.  However, it was such a cute story and although I don't normally buy many DVD's we decided we wanted to have an Up Party!
The movie was released this week and each of my kids got to choose a few friends to invite. Here are the invitations we used

and they delivered them with balloons to their friends.

We enjoyed pizza, popcorn, treat bags, and watching the movie on our pillows, theater style (which for my kids means EVERY light in the house OUT!)  Afterward we cut into this fun cake.

I filled small water balloons with helium (they had never done this at Party City, but it worked great because it was just the size I needed) and Tyler made the darling 3-D house from paper (Family Fun magazine template).  I used this cute idea and it was a big hit, especially when I cut into it!

We all had a GREAT time!

  2. You must have used a whole bottle of food coloring to get those vibrant colors on that cake. What a fun idea!

  8. LOVE this! (I clicked over from idea room) My older twins have such varied tastes, I've been wondering what theme they'll both like for their b-day. I can't wait to show them these pics--I think they'll LOVE this idea for their birthday party! Thanks!
