Tahoe part two: A girl's weekend

Leaving five husbands, nineteen kids, and almost as many chickens home (no really three of my friends have chickens and the fresh eggs that come with them!) five of us headed up to North Shore, Lake Tahoe to enjoy a long weekend of pure BLISS!

From Wednesday afternoon to Saturday morning we ate the yummiest food (including these yummy apple dumplings and this delicious spinach and chicken pasta salad ), watched "chick flicks", did facial masks, walked on the beach, drank hot chocolate around the fire, sewed, made cards, painted toes, read books, made FHE lessons, relaxed, did more sewing projects, made digital scrapbooks, made Christmas gifts, curled our hair in fancy curls, ate more yummy food, took a tour of a nearby $3 million home, went out for pizza (except in this little town the local pizza place had listed as their closing time 8:30-9:30, just depended on business...we were happy to get a pizza to-go!) typed up recipes, talked, talked, and stayed up late doing more talking!
It was PERFECT!!

What a blessed girl I am to be surrounded by such wonderful and amazing friends.  Here we (me, Danee, Carolyn, Amber, and Shannon) before leaving for home.  Thank goodness for great husbands (and in my case in-laws) who helped make this possible!
