Lake Tahoe Part ONE

Sometimes it's just good to get away and see some new scenery. Sometimes it's good to not have your phone ringing or computer even with you. Sometimes it's good to just sit around a little more. Sometimes it's good to sit around a fire pit, make smores, drink hot chocolate and not worry about what time it is.

We've had this time-share in North Shore, Incline Village (seriously check it out) reserved since early June and were so excited to go for the weekend. It was perfect! We had warm, but crisp air and blue skies to enjoy the gorgeous bright leaves and beautiful area!

Tyler's parents were in town and it was super fun to have Grandpa and Grandma with us.

We hiked everyday we were there.  We found some great hikes and also some we want to go back in the summer and check out.  We even found a very small amount of snow.  The kids were thrilled to throw a few snowballs at Dad and Grandpa.

We got some beach time, (these geese weren't bothered by us at all.  However, I was a little bothered by their poop all over the sand)

We got to go to Sunday morning church (ya no pics, but we did see some friends who used to live in our ward, the Sheppards. That was fun!) and celebrate Aubrey's 9th birthday!  She got some fun gifts including her American Girl doll Nelly's cousin, Samantha.  Can you tell she was surprised and excited?!

On the way home we stopped in Truckee and walked around their cute, Old Town streets.  There were darling shops (found some Christmas presents for myself) and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor with the long counter and all.  Can you see even Matthew's guilty, with a little mint-chocolate chip still on his cute lips?!
