Here we go...back to school 2015

When I had five little ones all under eight years old I looked at those moms with all their kids in school and couldn't imagine all that I could get done. Even a trip to Target by myself seemed like a treat. But now here I am. Today all five of mine are in school all day. No early pick-ups, no morning cartoons, no one at home building forts or spreading goldfish everywhere. It's a little too quiet around here. SO grateful for excellent schools and caring teachers. So grateful for the JOY these five bring me. Bring on a wonderful year!! Off to 9th, 7th, 5th, and 1st:)
 Love these cute faces!!!
Aubrey got her "first day of school outfit" on the first day of summer.
She has been looking forward to wearing it all summer. When they announced at freshman orientation yesterday that they wanted everyone to wear royal blue, she knew it was perfect!!
 Love this face!!
Andrew was ready for junior high and excited to be part of the STEM (a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program.  Mostly I think he is anxious to have PE EVERYDAY!  He loves to play and I'm sure is going to do great.  I have to mention that Aubrey has taken dressing Andrew on as her new "project".  So you may notice a shift from exercise clothes everyday to a sense of style!!
Katelyn was up bright and early this morning ready for hair to be curled.  I want to remember her enthusiasm and big smile.  She bought those shoes this summer with her own money and they are a perfect match to her back pack.  She loves the new shirt we got her and her gold sparkly nails are a perfect addition.  Note her ankle bracelet, chevron watch, and key chains dangling off her bag...this is a girl that doesn't miss a detail!!  She will have a great year I am sure:)
Megan was also up ready for a fun hair-do and to help with whatever she could (which this morning was to help make Aubrey's lunch).  She also got her outfit the first day of summer and although I think it looks like pajamas, it's super cute and comfy!  She also carefully choose her accessories, her birthday watch from London and new bracelet.  Notice those cute, rainbow painted toes.  It's all about the little things!
Last, but not least there is handsome Matthew with his DANGLING front tooth he doesn't want anyone to pull, his Chima backpack that he wasn't too excited about this year, and his new socks and shoes that he has been dying to wear.  He is excited for THREE recesses and to see his friends.  I'm sure we are going to have a lot of growth this year and big changes in this cute boy!!
 Cute brothers!
These two are so lucky to be best friends and in class together this year!

  1. They are darling! And I love all of their first day outfits. Before I even read what you wrote about Megan's outfit, I thought to myself, I love her pants, those are my style! Lol! I may even have a similar pair... 😉

  3. How in the world do you get them all ready at the same time?!! And why can't I ever remember that I want to take detail shots like you? I love the photos of the shoes and backpacks. So great. I hope you enjoyed the book and new backyard. :)
