I love these "hiking club" women and their sense of adventure. This week we headed up to Royal Gorge (a designated cross country snow park where we could all rent equipment) and went snowshoeing. It was a first for all of us and we definitely plan to do it again!
It was a perfect, sunny day up in the Sierras.
Here we are all ready to go!
For the first few minutes we felt like we had to "lifting our toes" extra high,
but really it took just a little getting used to it.
We did try out my new selfie-stick at Lyle's Lookout, with Devil's peak in the distance.
We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day and then burned some serious calories when we decided to go uphill through the powder. WOW!
We never found the "top" or the warming hut we thought we might come across,
but it was gorgeous anyway.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch out in the sunshine at the lodge afterwards, it was perfect!
What a great group of ladies and a fantastic day!!
