Daddy Daughter Nerd Night

We had a fantastic Daddy Daughter Nerd Night at church for all the girls, age 8-11 and their Dads.
We let the girls decide between a fancy, dance night or a "geek-style" evening with minute-to-win-it games.  The nerd night won and boy did they have fun with it!!

Katelyn and Megan planned and worked on putting together Tyler's outfit for weeks.
They found "taxi"suspenders at Good Will, a mustache at Party City, and the Hawaiian shirt,
shorts, socks and sandals in his closet.
Let's just say Tyler was a hit and these girls smiled ear to ear all night!!
One of the leaders did a cute job with the table settings and decorations.
We had a delicious taco bar dinner (note Tyler's "kick me" sign on his back).
After dinner we had a hula hoop contest and played some minute-to-win-it games including "cookie face" where you try to move the cookie from your forehead into your mouth without your hands
and "heart-a-stack" contest, stacking conversation hearts.
We had a photo booth too.
When Tyler smiled, his "chipmunk teeth" gave us all the giggles.

It was a great night and one I think these cute girls will always remember!!

  1. what a fun night! I always looked forward to my Daddy-Daughter dates but we never did anything this fun and crazy. It seems like we always did the same thing every year. Square dancing and the Virginia Reel. When both Ginny and I were at that age, we couldn't share Dad so one of us would ask a neighbor who only had boys at the time. They were always nights to remember. Every year Dad would buy a beautiful coursage for us to ware and really made it special for us. It's so fun to see the girls getting such a kick out of their dad. I especially love the sandals and socks. Yep, you are a close runner-up to Brandon. So glad you had a great time. Love to all!
