Stay at home spring break

We had a nice week sticking around home having play dates and some down time. 

 We missed having Tyler around, but he was in Colorado for work.  

We enjoyed the sun and swam with friends.

 

 We did a little of this and a little of that around home

(crafting, movie watching, swim team practice, babysitting, piano lessons, dental cleaning)

and then spent the day at Pacifica Beach on Thursday.

We met my sweet friend, Andrea and while the 13 kids played and played in the 

sand we enjoyed hours of catching up (huddled up under towels and in our sweatshirts)! 

 It was wonderful.

Plus there was a walk up Taco Bell right on the beach!!

We had Emmeline with us (it was her 13th birthday) and Andrew's friend, Matt too.

 

My twins and Andrea's twins built a feather castle :) 

ALL of the kids worked on digging a HUGE hole.  It was great to see them working on together!

There were a lot of heavy rocks to dig out.

 Once they all went to the water, Matthew enjoyed a little quiet time inside that deep hole.

Matthew loved every minute at the beach, including the getting dirty, digging and dragging things.

We spent way to many hours stuck in traffic there and back, 

but it was worth every minute for such a fun day.
