An official rite of passage occured today as Andrew mowed the lawn.
Yes, I think that is accurate.
The dictionary defines rite of passage as a "ritual event that marks a person's transition from one status to another. Milestones include transitions from puberty, year 7 to high school, ... "
or in our case, you mow the lawn.
It's kind of a big deal.
And although that mower was heavy and he was having to put some serious body weight (what little there is) into it, he enjoyed every minute.
I loved watching Tyler teach him how to do the lines straight,
take the corners, and take pride in a job well-done.
We'll see how long the enthusiasm lasts,
because the job of mowing the lawn...well it's his for another eight years!!
