While we were in Thailand our kidos stayed with Grandpa Kerry and Grandma Bonnie. We are so blessed that they are available AND willing to come and do this. In fact, they look forward to it and have already asked what our next trip is!! Yes, they are wonderful!
We did get to Skype with them every other day and email/photos help the kids feel a part of our trip as well. The kids did a lot of fun things with Grandpa and Grandma, including trips to the park, Icing on the Cupcake, bowling, SkyZone, dates with Grandma, ping-pong with Grandpa, and our to dinner at their favorite, Olive Garden. In addition, they were here for Easter. We spent the week before Easter learning more about the Savior's life and Kerry and Bonnie were here for our annual Passover Feast the night before our trip. Easter morning I asked Bonnie to take our traditional Easter photos on the couch with our baskets. We ask the Easter Bunny to keep things pretty simple at our house and it looks like he delivered. As tradition has it, each of them had one thing in their basket and some eggs full of candy and coins.
When we returned home, Kerry and Bonnie stayed to see Aubrey in her play, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown where she played Eudora, (the most recent character added, a friend of Sally's). That weekend there were six shows in three days! Aubrey did a great job performing and has so much fun, making new friends, developing her talents, and enjoying the theater so much!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures of her performing.
This is Dana, the director and founder of Theater Alive. I have known Dana for the last ten years and she is a dear friend. She is one of the strongest, but gentlest women I know! Unfortunately, (for us, however great things in store for her) she is moving to San Diego this summer. She has been such a blessing providing this opportunity and many wonderful teaching moments for Aubrey.
She will be missed by so many!
There were many tears after the show. It's such an emotional let-down for these kids. They are so sad that it is over and also so tired!! There were many tears as it is Dana's last show.
This is one of Aubrey's favorite friends, Blythe. She is darling!

Women's conference was great, Easter with the kids was wonderful and Aubrey as Eudora and/or ensamble was fabulous! Love to watch you perform Aubrey, you are the best! Love to all!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, she's moving down here??? Do you know where? We TOTALLY need her drama program. Everything around here performs on Sundays.
