Aubrey's fifth grade class did an amazing Living History Museum that was very impressive. Each student chose a person from the Civil War time period to study over the last few weeks. They also wrote a paper on the figure they had chosen. Next, they took the main facts and wrote a short speech that they would tell in "first person" at the Living History Museum. The students then had to come up with an appropriate costume (we scored on this one as a family friend with amazing knowledge and talent helped us), additional props, and a "button" for the viewers to push to hear from each of the characters. Parents were invited as well as the fourth grade students.
Aubrey chose "Harriet Beecher Stowe". She memorized her two minute speech and did a great job!
I had Aubrey recite her speach to me one day I was doing her hair, I was very impressed! Would love to have been there to see her all decked out in her costume as Harriet Beacher Stowe. Of course, there's not much Aubrey does that she doesn't absolutely shine. So proud of you Aubrey. You are the best! Love to all!
