My birthday and Sing and Dance shows

My birthday was a great one!!
I knew Tyler and I wouldn't have a chance to go to dinner and so we had our date for breakfast instead.  We rode our bikes to a nearby town to hit a yummy breakfast spot for sour dough french toast and a huge omelet filled with my favorites!  On our way there we got caught in a large group of road-bikers doing a  century ride.  That seemed to make our 20 miles look really do-able!  We had a great time together.
The rest of the day was mostly spent at Katelyn and Megan's Sing and
Dance shows.  They were so cute and enjoyed every minute, especially having an excuse to wear mascara and lipstick!  Here they are before the first show started.
Their first dance was to the song, "Hey Soul Sister" by Train.  Here is Katelyn moving her little hips to the beat!!
Here she is finishing strong with a big smile!
Next they did a darling dance to the "Flight of the Bumblebee".
Megan made for such a darling bumblebee, ballerina!
Look at this perfect form!
Their last performance was to "Splish Splash".
Dancing in their bath robes that Grandma Bonnie made, they even had small solo parts in this one.
These girls love, love, love the director and the choreographer.
They are always so cute and positive with all the girls.
During the bows, a bunch of them wouldn't even let the darling choreographer across the stage...they joined in an impromptu group hug!  It was SO sweet!
After the show there were more pictures with these wonderful ladies, Miss Connie and Miss Rachel.
Forget flowers, these girls want the good stuff!  Cupcakes, of course!
Even though it was late (hence the reason I look exhausted) when we got home we had a quick family party for me with the kids.  Tyler had made one of my favorite cakes, cherry-chip and he and the kids had gotten me a biking jersey and shoes.
It was a wonderful day.  I was so proud of my twins and their cute performances.  I got to go to dinner at one of my closest girl friend's homes in between and be fed yummy food and sung to.  I was showered with emails, phone calls, and Facebook messages (WOW, it was my first Facebook birthday and what a fun thing to be remembered by SO many!).  I was remembered with gifts from my family and friends.  I got to spend the day with my family.  I felt so loved.  It's going to be a great 36th year!!

  1. We were at Bear Lake for your birthday, so I didn't get in on the fb greetings—happy belated birthday. I'm glad it was a good one. Cute, cute dance photos, my girls spotted them from across the room and came running to ask who it was and give their approval. :)

  3. What a fun time to have a birthday! I hope you realize how much you are loved. Happy Birthday, Dear Rachelle! I admire and look up to you in so many ways. You have inspired me to be a better person. I love the pictures of the girls all dolled up for their performance. I'm sure they were the hit of the show! It's not surprising to see the natural ballerina in them. So delicate and dainty. I would love to have been there. Love to all!
