I am a cookie snob.
There. I admitted it.
I only like SOFT cookies.
I purposefully under-bake my cookies so they will be soft.
Ninety five percent of the time I make my favorite recipe.
The best Oatmeal chocolate-chip cookie ever.
They are soft and delicious.
However, Tyler is sooo sick of them, he could die prefers a regular plain old chocolate chip cookie.
Today I had made my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to take into Andrew's classroom, as I was the Mystery Reader guest. Tyler was coming home for lunch and I mentioned to him on the phone to "not be upset when he got home". He jokingly replied, "oh great, what did you buy?" (He could have been referring to the changing of colors in our living room I'm planning and the purchasing of pillows has begun). Smiling I said, "no you will see I made oatmeal, chocolate chip cookies, but don't worry because I am making you regular chocolate chip cookies next".
To which his reply was, "wow, what did you buy?"
To which his reply was, "wow, what did you buy?"
I guess I better make these more often. Didn't they turn out beautiful? Really, beautiful.
Plus, don't tell my family they were yummy and soft.
I sent he and Andrew off on their Father-Son camp out with a plate full.
Shortly after they left, I got this text.
"Best cookies ever."
Here's the link.
P.S. I hadn't bought anything...yet.

Thank you for posting this recipe, J LOVES chocolate chip cookies, and I NEVER make them! hehehe... so I will make some for his father's day present.
ReplyDeleteYUM! Good thing I wasn't there, I would have eaten the whole batch! Tyler would also have had to fight for them. You're so good to him! Love to all!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try it. I've got a good one too. Ever heard of pudding in cookies? Yep.
