BASE Jumpers

That night we went to dinner in Twin Falls and on the way home caught some BASE jumpers jumping off the breathtaking (to look at, let alone to jump off) Perrine Bridge. (I only had a my little camera, but can you see the parachute in this picture?) This bridge is 486 above the beautiful Snake River and I have since learned that this is the only man made structure in the country where BASE jumping is allowed year round without a permit.  It was crazy to watch these three men and two women who travel around, as a hobby, jumping bridges.  I’m so grateful that their parachutes went off and we didn’t stand there to watch them plummet to their death! I think I’ll stick to my ”risk-averse” hobbies!
