Yesterday I finished reading another great book by one of my favorite author's Gerald Lund. His book, Undaunted - The Miracle of the Hole in the Rock Pioneers tells of the men and women called to the San Juan Mission in 1878. It is an inspiring story of faith as there was never any question that they would do what they had been asked. The only question was: How? There was no road, not even a trail. The cliffs appeared impassable. The red rock was so slick in some areas that animals could not even get a footing themselves, much less pull a wagon. But their attitude was inspiring, their conviction undaunted. These people offered everything to the Lord and received, in return, the miracles they needed to do His will.
I haven't tackled the Work and the Glory series yet (nine books I'm saving that for when my baby gets to Kindergarten), but have LOVED his Kingdom and the Crown series (three books) and his book, Fire of the Covenant is one of my all-time favorites.
