Seeing this picture from last year when we got to ATTEND conference as a family (minus Matthew because you have to be eight years old) brings back the tender feelings that were in my heart that day. We had just experienced a wonderful trip taking Tyler's friends from Hungary to Southern Utah and spent the evening before conference surprising her with other missionary families.
In addition, while there overlooking the beautiful temple, Elder Christofferson came up and introduced himself to our sweet friend, Klara. The tender mercies of this trip still bring tears to my eyes. Not only did we get the extra tickets we needed to all get inside the conference center that morning...Tyler was able to get a seat next to Klara and Reka. It was a wonderful experience to be in the conference center.
Since of course we can't do that every year and the spirit and messages of the meeting are the same in my own living room, (note I didn't mention the noise level...haha!) I am again excited for general conference and making an effort to prepare my heart and family.
*This year I found an awesome note taking chart here. I got it from this blog I really like, she has some great ideas. I will still take longer, more detailed notes, but this will serve as a great reference for the front of my conference edition of the Ensign.
*I am reading some of my favorite talks on conference, especially this one and this one.
*And then most important for my personally I need quiet moments to have time and space to ponder the questions that I personally need answers to. There is a sweet video clip and additional ideas to prepare here. I love her thoughts on preparing spiritually too.

*And last, but not least prepare my children spiritually and physically. We will have to have a productive Friday, getting meals prepped and errands run, the house clean and routine chores done. In addition, my youngest still like some of these printables.
We sure enjoyed spending this time with you. Love to all!
