Performances, performances, performances

Matthew’s classroom had their winter performance which was a cute reciting of a poem and singing.  He did a great job and I was so impressed by how quickly he memorized his part.  He was in tears before school because he wasn’t sure what to wear.  He knew they were supposed to dress up some and wear red and green.  Well since we don’t have any red or green long sleeve shirts for him (and I wasn’t about to buy one) and I wasn’t about to let him wear his church pants out to recess…we found a solution right before he left to school.  I would go early and bring his church shirt, jacket and tie.  He saw me, ran and changed in the bathroom and pretty much beamed when he walked back into his classroom and his classmates all “ooohhed” at his sharp appearance.  It was darling.  Tyler and I loved being able to see his cute face in his hand-made Santa hat.
We took everyone to see Aubrey’s high school choir performance.
There are four choirs, concert, mens, advanced women’s ensemble (which Aubrey is in) and chamber.  WOW!  Were we impressed!
We loved having some traditional Christian music as well as some new, fun songs we hadn't heard before.  It was awesome!
In addition, the three girls all had their Christmas sing and dance show.  The costumes and dancing were great and the girls rocked their singing solos!  I love seeing them on stage.  They smile the entire time!!  Plus there is something to be said for hard Thursdays and persevering through the not fun practices to having a blast performing and spending the day with friends!

Megan loves the stage and has the best smiles!!
Aubrey started off "Text Me a Merry Christmas" with a cute solo part:)
I was so proud of Katelyn who lost her hat mid-dance, but kept on smiling!!
Can you tell who is who?
So fun that Aubrey's BFF, Aly is dancing this year.
Anna, Aubrey, Mara, Aly, and Allison
 These four are inseparable:)
Still all smiles and laughing at the final bows.
