For the third year in a row we have been blessed to be involved with our community "Light the City" event. Our church purchases trees for the city to include in their tree lighting ceremony and then we offered to decorate them. I asked four other friends (Alicia, Melissa, Rebecca, and Kara) and their families to join in the fun! We each decorated a tree that the city gives away to a family in need.
We even got some goodies this year:)
It was extra special this year as I knew and had personally invited two of the receiving families. I know that these families really wanted a tree for their family, but they can be so pricey. They were so grateful to not only receive a tree, but a decorated one!!
This is a tradition that we really enjoy and hope to continue.
