I joined Matthew's class for their gingerbread (but really graham cracker) house decorating. Their "big buddies" from fourth grade came and Matthew felt like he "scored" with this nice boy Tyler that was assigned his big buddy.
They worked nicely together spreading the frosting, assembling the house, and covering with as much candy as possible.
Here's the finished product.
There was actually quite a bit of "test tasting" going on.
When the kids finished they could have quiet time and read Christmas books together.
Matthew also had a school holiday perfromance. He was SO excited for us to come and see all that he has been learning at school. He is on the back row, fifth from the left, in the yellow scarf (which he was devastated when he realized Dad hadn't tied it with the green showing).
He sang all the songs and did a great job on the actions too!
