Our Ninth Birthday (By Katelyn)

We had a FANTASTIC time on our birthday!!

Our birthday was on Sunday, so the day before we got a special treat! 

We got to go and get our ears pierced at Claires!!! 

Surprisingly, we could not decide who would go first, but “row sham bow” always breaks it! 

I won, so Megan got to get her ears pierced first. 

At the beginning of the process it stung a little bit, and we cried for a second,

 but after we were very excited about how our ears looked! 

But that’s not all we did!! Since our Grandma was there, and she was so kind enough to buy us each a pair of earrings! We also looked at some cute wallets and funny sunglasses!

 We had a fantastic time at Claire’s that day!! 

 That night we went to a fancy Mexican restaurant called Zocolos! The food was amazing there! I had a steak burrito with a side of beans, rice, and for dessert we had ice cream and a churro with warm cream inside, lit with a firework! It was delicious! The employees even sang to us.  It was fun! 

 

The next day on our actual birthday, our Mom and Dad were so kind to
make us breakfast in bed! They made us an egg sandwich with orange juice, fresh fruit, and sang a beautiful song of Happy Birthday! It was delectable!!!

Everyone was so sweet! Even Matthew sang Happy Birthday to us! We had family home evening, ate a great lunch, and that afternoon we went to church. After church, we had a delectable dinner including pasta, chicken, and a yummy salad! Even while making dinner, my kind family sang Happy Birthday to us! After a filling meal, Megan and I decided to make a Pineapple Lemon Inside Out Cake! When the cake finally came out of the oven, we placed fresh fruit on it and drizzled a vanilla glaze on top of the cake! It looked fantastic!

We like to point to each other during the part of "Happy Birthday" where it says "to you" :)!

 It was a great birthday! Lastly, we opened presents! We got tons of great gifts! Megan wrote as very sweet card to me.We got to Skype with my Grandpa and Grandma Prescott who are on a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois.  A few minutes later, it was time to eat cake!! The cake was delicious! It was a huge hit! Megan and I had a fantastic birthday! It was the best birthday ever! But it wouldn’t have been the same without my kind, loving, family.
