Stop Hunger Now

My friend Melissa's church hosted a Stop Hunger Now event.
It is SO rare to find a service project that the entire family can be involved in, I was super excited!!
I forgot my camera but thank goodness she had hers.
We quickly got instructions and in our cute hair nets!!

All of us took turns measuring and filling ingredients (each bag had rice, oats, vitamins and dehydrated vegetables), weighing (if low they would add more rice), sealing, counting and packaging.  Once we got to 1,000 bags there was a large "gong" and you can imagine the coveted job that was by the kids - each one got a chance.
This was a well-oiled machine these people do and so awesome to be a small part of!!
There were two shifts, two hours each and the total meals packed for the day was almost 24,000!  Pretty awesome!
