When I was a kid we dressed up one night, Halloween. We went to trick or treating and that was it!
These days though, Halloween seems to go on for a week!
Good thing the kids LOVE it!!
First we went to the elementary school "Fall Carnival".
It was a gorgeous evening
Matthew found his favorite friend from his school, Mason.
They played all sorts of carnival type games, including throw the ping-pong ball in the jar :)
But their favorite was the "donut walk" to win a Krispy Kreme!
The next night it was the church, Trunk or Treat.
For some reason the kids LOVE it when we (Tyler and I) dress up. And so we too got into full costumes this year! I was Cruela Devil and most of my sweet Primary kids didn't recognize me :)
Here's Aubrey and her cute friend, Scarlett the tooth-fairy.
We missed Andrew who was in Provo with Tyler attending the BYU game.
Next, there was family home evening where we carved our pumpkins and broiled our pumpkin seeds.
As usual, the "guts" took some getting used to :)
I so appreciate that Tyler takes the lead and does the carving. He patiently listens to each child's design idea and then does a great job making it happen.
Including this Ninjago pumpkin which looked awesome when candle lit outside.
Somehow Matthew and I thought sitting on the table would help us get his seeds out better.
Patiently watching Dad "work his magic", Katelyn and Matthew snuggled up. LOVE it!
The porch is officially ready for Halloween.
Finally the actual night arrived.
We enjoyed our traditional soup and made some carmel apple cider to keep up warm inside.
Cruela and her dog-snatching "THUG".
He's a cute, kind one though!

Looks like a great week. Everyone looks great. Wish you were close so you could knock on our door!!! Loves and hugs to all!
