Faith heals

Over four years ago Aubrey was struggling with extreme pain in her neck and back.
I know there are many parents that struggle with very, very sick children and this experience gave me a tiny taste of what they must go through.  I had never felt so hopeless and so worried.
Aubrey at one point was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.  Having an adult friend with this disease we were so saddened at the possibility of a lifetime of pain for our sweet girl.
Our family and extended family held a family fast (the first Sunday of the month is set aside as "fast Sunday" where members are encouraged to go without food and water for 24 hours as a sacrifice for a desired blessing, more here) pleaing with God to help Aubrey not be in pain.  We also prayed that Tyler and I would be led to the right doctors to get accurate information and a plan for how to manage and eventually rid Aubrey of her pain.  Tyler gave Aubrey a Priesthood blessing (more here) calling upon the power of God to heal her and free her from pain.
After starting a serious medication regimen, and many doctors and specialists, we began physical therapy.
A miracle happened.  Aubrey was able to stop her medicine, the doctors changed their mind on their JRA diagnosis, and she began to be able to manage her pain.
She still today has pain most days, but it's manageable.  It's always better during swim season and when she is consistent with her at-home exercises.

Long story, but wanted to share that a little blurb Aubrey sent into our church Children's magazine, "The Friend" finally (yes, look how little she was when she sent it in) published it in July's edition.
