You know the quote about the little things.
Enjoy the little things for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
-Robert Brault
What amazes me with parenting is that most often it is the little things that bring the most joy.
A hug, a kiss, a compliment, five minutes of connecting and truly listening for example.
Sunday night we headed down to our "secret asztal".
You see we have a secret table (in Hungarian asztal) where we have dinner sometimes.
It's close to home so we can walk.
It's in the shade.
It's private.
And we pretend like it is just ours.
When we told the kids we were taking dinner down to the asztal you might have
thought we told them we were going to Disneyland. They were that excited.
It really is the little things
that bring the purest, most simple form of joy.
