These four, cute kids all go to the same school for one more year and my how they grow each year.
They were excited to see their friends again and anxious to get to know their teachers more.
If this sixth grader looks tall it is because she is almost as tall as me. She is 5'1 and
comes up to my eyes already. I hope all my kids are at least as tall as me.
Andrew is geared up for fourth grade, excited about his teacher and more time
playing soccer at recess with his friends.
Katelyn was super excited about her new outfit, especially this fun shirt with sequin that is reversible.
Megan also was ready for 2nd grade, looking super cute as always!
I've always done the pics of their shoes their first day and this year added a few other details I wanted to remember and capture. I love Aubrey's necklace, Andrew's backpack zipper pull, Katelyn's sequin shirt, and love Megan's headband and beautiful profile!
I'll admit there were five minutes the morning of the first day of school I was a little giddy about school being back in session and my house being clean by 8:30 a.m., but the second I walked up to the school I was already tearing up and missing them at home with me. I love our school and know they are in good hands, but I always love it when those little hands are wrapped in mine.
I always look forward to seeing your fun 1st day of school pictures. I have so any fun ideas to capture of my kids when they hit this stage. I admire and enjoy always hearing about how much you enjoy your kids around, not how excited you are to have a break from them. Thanks for being a great role model to so many of us mommies
ReplyDeleteI love your picture idea as well, may have to "borrow" that when Ellie starts preschool next week.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachelle, being the photography guru that you are, I was wondering if you have a favorite place to order photo-books. Have you noticed much difference in price and quality between sites? I'd like to find a good place for "everyday" albums, but I was also wondering if you know of any places that have exceptional quality--like for a wedding album or something of that sort. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo now that you have the first week behind us....how are you liking school so far? Those first few days of going back to school are always the toughest for mom but it doesnn't take long to fill that time with things you need to get done while they're away. Have a great school year everyone! Love to all!
ReplyDeleteI forgot I changed my name, so I'm sure you don't remember me. I'm Jessica Gause, Linda's daughter. Any book advice would be great-thanks!
